Today will be our LAST post talking about our time spent on the Big Island ๐ Like all great getaways they have to come to an end. I’m so happy with how the film pictures turned out that Scott and I took while exploring Hawaii, and now you guys get to check them out too!! The film we used was Ektar 100, we had used this film once before and were really happy with the outside shots we got, so we knew it would be perfect to take with us to Hawaii. So here it is guys our final chapter of our Hawaii adventure! Hope you enjoy ๐
Rainbow Falls, we ended up coming back to this waterfall later in the week because it was such a beautiful place to explore.Getting artsy while enjoying a nice hike through the Hawaii Volcano National Park.Seeing the active volcano was something I was really stocked to see, definitely something to cross off my bucket list!At the end of the Hawaii Volcano National Park is a beautiful viewpoint of the coastline just shy of where hot lava meets the ocean water.I think this looks like a postcard, I dig it.Scott enjoying the view from one of the many beaches we visited while driving down the Pahoa Coast. One of my favorite days was when we drove around aimlessly down the Pahoa coast, the long highway looked like this everywhere..so much life and lushness ๐Another cool spot driving down the Paho coast.Scott took a picture of me, I look very serious..On our way up mauna loa road to watch the sunset.Scott loved the dense forests that populated the Big Island.A light rainfall as Scott and I stopped to take pictures of a lush garden area on the road to Pololu Valley.Jungle girlThe smell of sweet Hawaiian flowers is like no other…The Waipio Valley overlook, located on the Northern side of the island.Trying to capture the essence of life that grows through out the Hawaiian gardens.Looking out into this corner of a lush forest was unreal. The detail this place had was like nothing I have ever seen.We stumbled upon this awesome bridge while driving back from Pololu Valley, we took the opportunity to get some video clips and photos of us walking along it.Gazing up a beautiful unique looking tree where the vines hung down low almost touching the road. The base of the tree was interesting too, so many vines hung from this tree. The rain had just stopped so we got out of the car to explore the road a little more.Looking up at the beautiful trees that covered the sky above.“Hey, you call me?”A beautiful day driving through the mountains in the Pololu coast. We saw lots of farm animals on our way home from checking out the Northern part of the island, this was one of the prairies where cows grazed freely.Scott taking a picture of the long vast road that connected the farmlands back to the main highway. My dream come true..taking a picture with a fresh coconut.Scott contemplating our time spent on the island. The day we left we had our last goodbye to the Hawaiian coastline, here I am soaking it all in.Boarding the plane to head back home after our 2 week long adventure on the Big Island!Scott took a cool composition picture of the airplane.
